Who We Are

 

Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles provides hundreds of girls with life-changing support and real solutions to the unique issues they face. At Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles, we provide support and programming for schools in South Los Angeles, Compton, and Watts Californa. This is through our education enrichment program that focuses on STEM Education, Literacy, and Math. We are governed by a local board of directors comprised of key leaders  in our community, Entertainment professionals, and civil servants. Girls Inc. of  Greater Los Angeles is an affiliate of the national Girls Inc. headquartered in New York, N.Y.

Who We Serve

 

 

We serve girls in Title I schools in South Los Angeles, Watts and Compton. Many Girls Inc. participants are considered "at risk" through no fault of their own, due to circumstances such as family poverty, gang surrounding's and even homelessness. Still, girl-based challenges affect all young girls regardless of income, ethnicity, or education.

Girls Inc.  program participants receive individual attention from trained professional staff and caring volunteers. You'll find that Girls Inc. is able to bring regular programs to underserve communities in Los Angeles.
